Our Student Entrepreneurship Coaches (SECs) are upper-year students active in the startup world who want to share their expertise and guide fellow students to success. These coaches are easy to connect with, offering drop-in coaching hours, individual sessions, and fun events throughout their term in Residence. 

Think of them as an older sibling showing you the ropes! With a variety of skill sets and backgrounds, this is your opportunity to ask any questions that come to mind – there are no dumb questions here!

Aileen Agada

Student Entrepreneurship Coach

Aileen is studying Environmental Engineering and is passionate about solving systemic problems, and inspiring women to be their best selves. Aileen is the founder of BeBlended, an online platform that connects black women with hairstylists and beauty resources. After working in a variety of companies in Canada and completing a co-op term in Belgium; Aileen is excited to tackle new challenges in the hair care industry! As a Student Entrepreneur Coach, Aileen loves engaging first-year students in the entrepreneurship ecosystem at an early stage. Beware, folks, her positivity, and optimism are infectious!

In her free time, you can find Aileen kayaking, leading events with UW’s Power To Change club on campus, and spending time with friends and family.

Gabriel Saunders

Student Entrepreneurship Coach

Gabriel completed his undergrad in Arts and Business, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Entrepreneurship. He is currently completing his MBET while also working on a startup in his home of Turks and Caicos Islands. As a Student Entrepreneurship Coach, Gabriel will help bridge the gap first-year students may have with Waterloo’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and his goal is to inspire them to find their inner entrepreneur.

In his free time, Gabriel enjoys reading, watching sports, and playing NBA 2K.

Ryan Sojnocki

Student Entrepreneurship Coach

Ryan is a fifth-year Environment and Business student who began his entrepreneurial journey back in the summer of 2018 when he launched his first startup which looked to fill the gap between untapped urban space and local food sources. He is currently working on a brand that will inspire individuals to weave positive momentum throughout their lives by supplying them with techniques, products and lifestyle changes that leading experts embody throughout their lives.
