We had some fantastic, high caliber applications this term and after a long day of interviews yesterday, the results are in! It took an intense night of deliberation, but we’ve picked the top 10 teams who will move on to our VeloCity Venture Fund finals. Up to four of the following startups will win $25,000 each in nostrings attached funding to help them get their startup off the ground.
Our Fall 2012 VeloCity Venture Fund Finalists, in alphabetical order, are:
Ava, founded by Katie Tsang, Scott Greenlay, Steven Armstrong, and Linda Xie, an app that lets you shop the streets – right from your smartphone.
Kira Talent, founded by Konrad Listwan-Ciesielski and Emilie Cushman, an online video platform that allows employers to interview hundreds of job candidates in minutes.
Koalify, founded by Dave Heller and Andy Heller, a personal analytics platform that makes it easy for users to analyze their life and improve themselves.
Touch Tech, founded by Melvin Ng, Ilia Baranov, and Shaon Bhuiyan, revolutionizing the tablet market by supplying a low-power, low cost solution which can turn any capacitive touch screen into a pressure-sensitive tablet, similar to those supplied by Wacom.
